Uber Pedicabs @ SXSW

We partnered with Uber for SXSW Interactive 2011, the nation’s (and one of the world’s) biggest interactive, film and music festival in the country, taking place over a week and change in Austin, Texas. AKKO and Uber worked together to create a visual system around public shared transportion that would grab people’s attention at the critical growth period for Uber. Naturally, in Austin, we chose pedicabs. Uber hooked up their service applications to summon pedicabs and our branded vehicles (we designed for over 300 pedicabs) showed up at customer’s footsteps, complete with branded hipster driver with Akko-designed car serviced inspired tee shirts.
